Funding and Contribution Sources

  • Our clientele are low income individuals or those with no means of support, who are addicted to drugs and alcohol. Typically, Headrest is their last resort. We also provide residential treatment and detoxification programs, maintain AA and NA meetings, and answer crisis hotlines.
  • Headrest receives less than 2% of its funding from client fees, and must rely on State funding and charitable contributions. We are grateful to those who feel treatment of this destructive illness is an important priority.
  • In the last twelve months our substance abuse counselors have performed over 1,500 hours of individual, group, and family counseling. We are essentially at capacity. Additional funding would enable us to add counselors to meet the demand.
